Nurses' salaries will increase by 15 thousand ALL in the 2024 budget. The news was announced yesterday on social networks by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who emphasized that 14,207 nurses will benefit from this increase. The budget of 98.72 billion lek (about 950 million euros) is the highest ever allocated in the history of the Albanian state for the Health and Social Protection sector. The 2024 budget supports the radical transformation of Albanian health, through the empowerment of doctors and nurses, the increase of universal coverage and the further modernization of our hospitals and health centers. It reiterates the central role of doctors and nurses in the health strategy, supporting a further increase in wages, improved working conditions and increased hospital autonomy. This budget follows the path of capital investments, opening new modernization sites across the country.
