In 2025-2026, aid recipients decrease, employment and salaries for education and health increase, free transportation for students and teachers

The number of individuals who benefit from the economic assistance scheme for the years 2025-2026 is expected to decrease by 500 families, and it is expected to be an average of 64,000 beneficiaries per year, since the employment of the members of the beneficiary families is intended. The Ministry of Education for 2024 will have a budget of 48.5 billion ALL, much higher than the current year which had a fund of 47.1 billion ALL. According to the priorities accompanying the draft budget, the Ministry of Education aims to increase the number of students attending public secondary education from 82% in 2024 to 90% in 2026 through its policies, but it is also intended to increase the attendance of basic education. In 2026, 100% of the educational service will be realized with only one shift, according to the ministry's priorities. Basic education teachers, Diaspora teachers and assistant teachers for children with disabilities are expected to be trained annually. A part of the budget will also go to the beneficiaries of financial scholarships such as the minimum salary of excellent students as well as those who study in national priority programs and will be invested in scientific research. Within the year 2024, the objective set to reach an average salary level of 900 euros per month will be achieved. The draft budget foresees the further increase of salaries of general practitioners, nurses and other health workers, teachers in pre-university education. The overall effect on the budget for the financing of this major reform in the salary system amounts to ALL 39 billion".
