The Economy and Finance Commission approved today the draft law on salary increases for the administration, independent institutions, but also for the government and deputies. The session was characterized by the debate between the opposition and Minister Delina Ibrahimaj.
The reason was the fact that the government initially requested salary increases for all categories, but not for ministers and deputies. The opposition has opposed it.
In the end, the commission with a socialist majority accepted the opposition's request to increase the salaries of the government and deputies with the argument of violating the hierarchy of the state apparatus. The draft law now goes to the Assembly on Thursday to get the final stamp.

is currently 228,000 Lek, it will go to 329,000 Lek
