The Minister of Finance and Economy, Ervin Meta, has announced that at the meeting of the Administrative Council of the Social Security Institute, the decision was taken to approve the indexation of pensions.
Through a post on Facebook, Meta writes that from October 1, over 767 thousand pensioners of all categories will benefit from the 8.6% increase.
"This measure ensures greater social protection. It is a continuation of the policies that the Albanian Government is implementing to reduce the effects of the increase in inflation and to ensure more well-being for the citizens", writes Mete.
We remind you that for the last time pensions were indexed at the rate of 6% in October last year.

At the meeting of the Administrative Council of the Social Insurance Institute, where the first decision after taking the presidency was the approval of pension indexation.
From October 1, over 767 thousand pensioners of all categories will benefit from the 8.6% increase.
This measure provides greater social protection. It is a continuation of the policies that the Albanian Government is implementing to reduce the effects of the increase in inflation and to ensure more well-being for citizens.
