Energy crisis, this is how state institutions are sinking OSHEE, 700 million euros in unpaid liabilities

Energy crisis, this is how state institutions are sinking OSHEE, 700 million

The energy crisis is expected to affect many countries, as well as our country, and in recent days there has been much debate on this issue. What is learned is that OSHEE is in a crisis and could sink towards collapse. But what stands out is that the state institutions themselves are the biggest debtors. According to official data, by the end of August, the liability that private and state consumers owe to this company reached 77 billion ALL, or about 700 million euros. One of the largest debtors to the Electricity Distribution Operator are public institutions. The data show that the debt in budgetary and non-budgetary institutions has increased from year to year. At the end of August, their liability to OSHEE, which mainly includes water supply companies, amounted to ALL 20 billion, this figure in 2020 was 17 while in 2019, ALL 13 billion. Energy bills of public companies are paid directly from the state budget, so this phenomenon is a proof of lack of discipline in budget expenditures. Whenever these companies are not in good financial condition they decide not to pay their energy and water bills, while to date none of them are penalized. But, on the other hand, if a household customer does not pay the energy bill, his energy is cut off, while the interest on arrears starts and is applied.
