A seemingly 'normal' young man climbed to the roof of a landmark building in Venice yesterday and, dressed only in his underwear, was filmed jumping into the water below in a terrifying belly-flop style

The abnormal tourist who jumped into the water from the 4-story building in Venice has enraged the mayor of the city that is part of the world cultural heritage.

"We should give him a fool's certificate, even a few kicks in the rear," wrote Mayor Luigi Brugnaro about the tasteless incident.

He continued: "We are trying to identify him and stop him in order to bring charges, like him, and the idiot who recorded the video for social networks."

"People who risk their lives for a few 'likes' and teach others to do the same. Imagine if a boat had passed down there."

Just before the man jumped, locals passing by can be heard telling him: "No, don't do it!"

The man was lucky to escape safely as the water level in Venice's canals has dropped significantly.

But such behavior unworthy of the famous cultural city has been observed before by unsuspecting and attention-seeking people, as happened years ago with two American tourists who undressed and entered the water in the residential area of ??Castello.
