Attacks in Gaza, Iran threatens Israel: You will pay a heavy price

The commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned Israel of continued rocket attacks on the Gaza Strip.

Major General Hossein Salami said that Israel will pay a heavy price for the attacks in Gaza.

He made the warning during a meeting with Islamic Jihad leader Ziyad al-Nakhalah in Tehran this Saturday.

Nakhalah, who arrived in Tehran on Wednesday, held a series of meetings with senior Iranian officials, including President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and the Supreme Leader's senior adviser Ali Akbar Velayati.

His visit coincides with Israeli airstrikes on Gaza since Friday, which have reportedly left 15 dead and over 100 wounded. Israel has announced the launch of an operation to strike members of Islamic Jihad, a Palestinian organization linked to Hamas.
