"Putin stepped here..."/ The president of the Balkan country comes out with a strong warning for the Russian president

"If Vladimir Putin, on whose behalf the International Criminal Court in The Hague has issued an arrest warrant, comes to Croatia, we will immediately arrest him", Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic made this strong statement from Brussels, where he was for the summit of of the EU and the meeting of the European Council.
His country has acceded to the statute of this Court and has adopted a law for cooperation with it. "The law in question provides for all procedures in arrest warrant cases, and as far as I know, immunity does not apply here. For this reason, the procedure followed would be exactly as provided in the law and the competent authorities would certainly react" , was Plenkovic's comment when a journalist asked him how they would act in case the Russian president visited Croatia.
The head of the Croatian executive added that "the idea of ??such a visit is not so realistic". " I don't believe that he will move so quickly in countries that are signatories of the Rome Statute" , added Plenkovic. According to American lawyer David Scheffer, regardless of whether he appears in the dock or not, the Russian president will always be a "fugitive accused" from international justice.
The International Criminal Court days ago issued an arrest warrant for Putin, accusing him of war crimes in Ukraine, including the illegal deportation of children./topchannel
