The situation escalates, after Russia's latest attack, the UN reacts immediately: This could lead to disaster

Other missile attacks were reported on Thursday evening and Friday morning towards the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, between Russia and Ukraine accusing each other, writes The Guardian.
Media reports that at least 10 rockets fell near the office and fire station at the largest nuclear power plant in Europe.
In a meeting of the UN Security Council, called to discuss the situation, the head of the Nuclear Agency, Rafael Grossi warned this is something serious. UN Secretary General António Guterres also said the event could lead to a major catastrophe.
China and the US demanded that UN experts be urgently allowed to visit the plant, but similar requests in the past have so far been denied. Earlier, the US also called for a demilitarized zone around it, but Russia's UN representative said demilitarization was not an option, as it would make the plant more vulnerable to provocations and terrorist attacks.
"This is a serious and grave situation, and the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) must be allowed to carry out its mission in Zaporizhzhia as soon as possible," the agency's chief, Rafael Grossi, said at an emergency meeting of UN Security Council on Thursday night.
Ukraine's state-owned company that operates the plant, Energoatom, said the area was hit five times on Thursday, including near where radioactive materials are stored.
