"The last one to prove that the West does not want the war to end is the American Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, who said in recent days that a ceasefire would be in the interests of the Russian Federation and this cannot be allowed. It is difficult for me to say what such a shallow analysis is based on," said the Russian Foreign Minister.

"The only assumption we make is that the West does not want to stop this war, as it has its own geopolitical interests. First of all, it wants to eliminate another competitor on the world stage," Lavrov continued.

"Once again, we have drawn attention to the subversive line of NATO countries, which have been drawn deeper and deeper into the conflict for a long time. In fact, they are fighting on the side of the Kiev regime," the Russian minister added.
