NASA publishes amazing images, here is the unusual discovery it makes about the universe

Written by SOT.COM.AL 25 Maj 2023

NASA has released stunning new images of two galaxies, a nebula and a star cluster from the James Webb Space Telescope and the Chandra X-ray Observatory.
"When multiple NASA telescopes observe the same cosmic region, the true colors of the universe are revealed," NASA said.
To capture images from the universe, NASA used the James Webb Space Telescope and the Chandra X-ray Observatory.
"Each image combines Chandra X-rays, a form of high-energy, infrared light from Webb's images that are invisible to the naked eye," the space agency explained.
NASA also included data from the Hubble Space Telescope, which uses optical light, the Spitzer Space Telescope (infrared), as well as the European Space Agency's XMM-Newton (X-ray) and the European Southern Observatory telescope (optical).
These images of star cluster NGC 346, spiral galaxy NGC 1672, nebula M16 and spiral galaxy M74 are some of NASA's most impressive shots.
NGC 346 is a star cluster in the Small Magellanic Cloud, about 200,000 light-years from Earth. Images taken by the James Webb Space Telescope show the columns and arcs of gas and dust that stars and planets use as raw materials in their formation. The first purple cloud is the remnants of a supernova explosion of a massive star.
"The Chandra data also reveal young, hot, massive stars that generate strong winds from their surfaces," NASA said.
NGC 1672 is a closed spiral galaxy with a central bar of stars and gas. The spiral arms of the galaxy begin at the ends of the bar.
Messier 16, also known as the Eagle Nebula, is a famous region of the sky often referred to as the "Pillar of Creation". Images captured by Webb reveal dark columns of gas and dust that shroud some young stars while others are forming. The Chandra data look like dots and show young stars that emit copious amounts of X-rays.
Finally, Messier 74 is another spiral galaxy about 32 million light years away that we can see from Earth.
"Messier 74 is known as a 'ghost galaxy' because it is relatively faint and therefore difficult to detect with small telescopes," NASA explained.
The James Webb data image gas and dust in the infrared, while the Chandra data show the stars' high-energy activity at X-ray wavelengths.
