The meeting between Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin was a semi-failure for both leaders. For the Chinese president who, with Russia and Ukraine, hoped to somehow repeat the exploit between Saudi Arabia and Iran and instead returned home with so many fine words and a handful of "flies" and for that Russian who by his extremely persuasive attitude sanctioned the total subjugation of his country to China, a status quo, already visible in deeds, but already sanctioned in words, images and contracts that will remain etched in history. They call it "friendship without borders" and "superior to normal international cooperation", which "does not constitute a bloc and is not directed against third parties" and therefore stronger because it is sincere. In short, an "ideal" friendship, supported by an undoubted personal affinity between the two statesmen, but which in reality is instrumental to both countries, in an anti-Western key, although they claim otherwise. However, with a different attitude: for Moscow it is a lifeline, political and economic, for Beijing it is nothing more than a strategic and commercial alliance that should contribute to the famous overtaking of the USA.

Everything goes through the US

The series of commercial and economic agreements signed during the meeting should be seen in these two distinct interpretations, especially those on gas and those related to the Arctic road, a new silk road still far from becoming something tangible. The now well-known Siberian Force 2 gas pipeline project is the symbol of Moscow's will to redirect its economy towards Asia in the face of international sanctions. Last year's gas shipments through the Siberian Forces IChina reached an all-time high of 15.5 billion cubic meters, and by 2025 Moscow aims to reach up to 38 billion cubic meters per year, more than doubling the current value . The idea is to replace Europe with China, but the numbers are still far off, considering that before the war Russia sent to the EU about 155 billion cubic meters of gas. And there is no chance that these numbers will ever be reached, since Beijing already has so many alternative and strategically important suppliers, such as Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Qatar and even the US. So any possible Russian-Chinese plan for war will be thwarted by the US. The Americans are a superpower and everything should go from there.

Russia-China secret pact

Tashmë Rosatom po ndihmon kinezët të kompletojnë reaktorët Nr. 7 dhe nr. 8 të uzinës Tianëan në Jiangsu dhe nr. 3 dhe nr. 4 i uzinës Xudabao në Liaoning. Por këta, të cilët do të përfundojnë midis 2026 dhe 2028, janë reaktorë normalë të ngadaltë neutron, të tipit VVER-1200. Në shkurt 2023, Komanda Strategjike e SHBA Stratcom vlerësoi se "Kina mund të ketë tejkaluar tashmë 400 koka luftarake dhe mund të arrijë në 1500 armë atomike deri në vitin 2035".
