The British High Court has ruled that the government's plan to deport illegal immigrants in Rwanda is illegal.
Lord Reed noted that the High Court was "asked to decide" whether the policy was "lawful" - adding that it was a "question of law" and the court was "not concerned with political debate" about the scheme.
He said that the decision was based on international law. This includes the European Convention on Human Rights, but also various UN treaties.
Refugee charities have repeatedly called the proposal "inhumane" and said it violates human rights laws, while opposition parties have branded the plan a "fraud".
An order from the European Court of Human Rights stopped the first flight to Rwanda in June last year.
