The vice president of the USA, Kamala Harris, was involved in a car accident.
Harris was headed to the White House shortly before 10:30 a.m. Monday when the driver of her car veered off the road and hit a curb, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi confirmed.
The video you see below, which appears to have been captured from a high-rise vantage point, showed armed guards standing around parked vehicles at the entrance to an underpass as Harris left the scene.

The "Washington Post" revealed that a car carrying US Vice President Kamala #Harris had an accident a few days ago, but the Secret Service said it was just a "mechanical failure." #United_States pic.twitter.com/OETAhuxdBC
The vice president is said to question how such an accident could happen given the high level of training provided to her drivers.
Harris spokeswoman Kirsten Allen told the media: "The vice president was not injured and appreciates the quick response of staff to get her to the White House safely."
