A bus carrying a soccer team crashed early Monday, plunging off a bridge, killing five people and injuring several others in Além Paraíba, Brazil.
The name of the club the players on the bus belonged to has not yet been released, but according to news portal G1, they were transported from Ubaporanja, in Minas Gerais to Rio de Janeiro.
There were 36 passengers in the bus. The bodies of the five victims were pulled from the wreckage and the injured were taken to a local hospital. So far there are no details about their health condition.
The vehicle that fell from the bridge, overturned and stopped on the bank of a river. The causes of the accident have not been disclosed.
