Terrible accident, more than 40 cars collide on the highway, dozens injured

At least 40 cars have collided in a chain accident in Bulgaria, causing dozens of injuries, some of them seriously.

Police said the accident happened on the M1 motorway, about 25 kilometers west of Budapest, involving five trailers and 37 small cars. From the strong collision, 19 of the cars burst into flames and were completely burnt.

According to police information, 36 people were injured, 1 in critical condition and 13 others with serious injuries.

The causes of the accident are still unclear, while dozens of ambulances and fire engines arrived at the scene to help the injured.
