The massive fire destroys the factory on the Tirana-Durres highway, the head of emergencies reveals how the situation appears after the flames are extinguished

The head of Civil Emergencies, Haki ?ako, stated that the fire at the paint factory in Maminas has been brought under control.

Çako emphasized that the fire had involved the part of the paint production and the storage of chemical materials, but thanks to the intervention of the firemen, the part of the factory administration was saved.

He emphasized that the causes of the fire are not yet known and expertise is expected to give a more accurate answer.

"Currently the situation is under control. Firefighters from all municipalities of Tirana had to be engaged, as well as the Armed Forces. The situation is under control even though there is an increased presence of fire. It's a massive fire.

Currently, we are not able to give an exact definition on the causes, but from the preliminary information, the fire came from inside. This will then be determined by the experts after the fire is extinguished, the police will conduct a preliminary investigation of the scene to then refer it to the prosecution.
