A problematic fire has appeared this evening on the outskirts of the city of Gjirokastra, while the flames that engulfed a pile of urban waste threatened to damage the city's public cemetery.
The fire appeared around 20.15 in a pile of urban waste at the exit of the city, on the side of the national road Gjirokastër- Kakavije. The fire spread rapidly, including a grassy area and threatened to penetrate the area where the public cemetery is located.
After receiving the notification, the Fire Service arrived at the scene, making it possible to locate, extinguish the fire and avoid damage to the public cemetery.
