Murders and crime in Albania "reign", the police are non-existent and unable to prevent these phenomena

Mafia-type paid executions, assassinations with tritol, exchange of fire in residential areas, murders for revenge, for weak motives and those of passion, as well as numerous accidents, have been the headlines of current developments throughout this year and that that we just left behind, where only in the span of two weeks, several assassinations and gun attacks were registered, with a tragic balance of almost 10 victims and several wounded. Among the most serious events, are the triple murder that shocked the capital of Albania and the entire public opinion at noon on Wednesday, March 1, by the crimes of a 40-year-old, a former convict, an incurable murderer who took his life from the barrage of Kalashnikov 3 young women and injured three others, in three different areas of Tirana. The killer is called Dan Hutra, in addition to the execution of 3 women, where after several hours of searching and in complete freedom, he was located and arrested at the moment he was about to commit the fourth murder somewhere on the outskirts of Tirana. Meanwhile, another event that shocked public opinion happened two days ago in the capital, as criminal groups shot at a bar without batting an eyelash. The bullets that were fired without finding the target on Sunday evening in the direction of the bar in the area of ??"Don Bosko" in Tirana, mistakenly took the life of an innocent woman, Mimoza Pajës, 58 years old, a bartender at the bar. In addition, the bullets fired by as yet unidentified persons from a moving car injured 6 others, including the bartender's granddaughter, only 10 years old. According to the blue uniforms, it is learned that the target of the assassination attempt was Fatjon Murati, a person with a criminal record and known by the police. While the other event is related to a tragic accident that happened last week, where 3 people lost their lives and 4 others were injured as a result in Tirana, at the TEG crossing. This accident was caused by a young man, who was recognized as a problem by the police regarding non-implementation of traffic rules.

The police are in "lethargic sleep"

But none of the murders have been solved, except for the incident involving Dan Hutra, while neither the executors nor those who commissioned these mafia assassinations have been arrested. The figures show that the State Police has lost the battle with crime, but also the trust of the citizens, as it turns out to be infected by crime, since in recent months several police officers have been arrested, while many others are under investigation, who are accused for corruption, cooperation with groups and individuals with criminal records, or debunking investigations. Albanian society seems resigned to the consequences of crime, foreign diplomats in our country have chosen silence, while the media remains the only oasis where this phenomenon is denounced, as the newspaper "SOT" is raising as a concern today. If the police can be tolerated to prevent a crime or murder for weak motives, if they have no information about the perpetrators. Or if the police can be tolerated if a terrible accident comes as a result of a drunk driver or adventurers, which was not previously filed as a problem. However, in the above-mentioned cases, it seems clear that we are dealing with a total incompetence of the police. The two murderers of women were well-known characters of the world of crime, so that the police at least have the duty and the law to monitor them. But this did not happen, showing that the entire police chain, from the area operators to the criminal police, have successfully failed. While in the case of the accident that happened in TEG, where 3 young people lost their lives, the failure is billed to the Traffic Police, which had not taken measures against the person who caused the accident. because the young man was registered as a problem by the Traffic Police. So, this means that the level of criminality, viewed in terms of dynamics-intensity, types, dimensions of extremely violent acts with serious consequences, the increasing graph of crimes against the person, life and health, the galloping developments of traffic, especially of narcotics, has put us in front of a civil insecurity, which has never been seen before in decades in Albania.

Fatjon Murati u lirua në heshtje, nuk pati një komunikatë për ndryshimin e masës së sigurisë nga arrest me burg në arrest shtëpie. Fatjon Murati u arrestua më 8 tetor nga Policia e Tiranës, pasi ishte shpallur në kërkim se zotëronte një arsenal armësh, në një apartament në zonën e Farkës, bashkë Kristjan Gjinin të kapur nga policia më 13 korrik.  2 muaj pas arrestimit, atij iu ndryshua masa e sigurisë nga “Arrest në burg” në “Arrest shtëpie. Vendimi për ndryshimin e masës së sigurisë është marrë nga gjyqtarja Migena Laska, në gjykatën e shkallës së parë të Tiranës, ndërkohë që Prokuroria ka qenë kundër.  Çështja për “armëmbajtje pa leje” është dërguar për gjykim dhe pritet që në datën 15 mars, pra pas 2 ditësh, prokuroria do të japë konkluzionet. Mirëpo, në një kohë kur Fatjon Murati ishte në masën e sigurisë ‘Arrest shtëpie’, ai nuk e ka respektuar, por është arratisur nga banesa e tij pak ditë para ngjarjes. Mendohet se Murati deri para dy ditësh rezulton të ketë qenë në Tiranë, por ilegalisht dyshohet se ka kaluar kufirin për në Prishtinë. Hetuesit dyshojnë se ai është larguar në drejtim të Turqisë, detaje të cilat po verifikohen. Lokali i Fatjon Muratit ruhej me kamera sigurie, deri para pak kohësh kur policia nisi aksionin dhe këputi fijet e krimit.

He was cited for overtaking and prohibited acts on September 6, failed to comply with traffic signals on October 7, 2022, fined for speeding on November 15, 2022, caught using a mobile phone while driving on December 9, 2022, no insurance and failed to comply with traffic signals on January 27, 2022.
