The Ambassador of the United States of America in Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, has said that the United States strongly condemns the violent and orchestrated attacks against the Kosovo Police this morning.
Hovenier said that the Kosovo Police has full and legitimate responsibility for the implementation of the rule of law in accordance with the Constitution and laws of Kosovo.
"We are closely monitoring the situation and condemn these violent acts against the legitimate authorities of the Republic of Kosovo. The perpetrators must and will be held accountable and brought to justice. They must stop their attacks immediately," said Hovenier.
Furthermore, Hovenier said that the US appreciates the ongoing coordination between the Kosovo Police, EULEX and KFOR.
