Video/ Wanted by SPAK, Ervin Mata greets the police after the "earthquake" in Tirana

After the SPAK action where 11 arrest warrants were issued, one of the names announced as wanted is Ervin Mata. The latter is a familiar name to the police.

Klan News has exclusively obtained a video of Ervin Mata, but it is not yet known if this video was filmed before or now that he is on the run. 

His name was mentioned for the first time in the event of October 4, 2018, where Fabian Gaxha lost his life and Ervis Martinaj and Elion Hato were injured. Then, during the interrogation, he said that he had not shot nor had he seen who shot at the victim. The court imposed a security measure against him, the obligation to appear twice a month at the Prosecutor's Office, while the prosecution requested the arrest of Mata.

In June 2021, he was sentenced to 6 months in prison, which due to the shortened trial was reduced by 1/3 of the sentence, and Mata was sentenced to 4 months in prison, which was converted to 100 days of public interest work. At the time it was said that the clash between them started over pink issues, but there have always been suspicions that they clashed over a large amount of illegal money.

On May 30, 2020, Mata was placed a quantity of explosives in the vicinity of the QSUT owned by him. Mata has also been accused of being involved in international drug trafficking issues.

Recently, Ervin Mata is wanted as a result of a SPAK operation that hit a criminal group, whose members are accused of being involved in criminal activities in Albania, South America and Europe. Also wanted are Besmir Mustafi, Artan Sulejmani, Albert Prenga, Bajram Grabova, and Eralbi Breçani, the son of Erzen Breçani.

While arrested are Bujar Gërmizi, Erzen Breçanin, Dedan Gjoni, Chief of Crimes at police station No. 6 in Tirana and Besmir Murati.
