Seven months after the dinghy killing of the minor girl Jonada Avdia, the investigations of the Vlora prosecutor's office have remained at a crossroads, regarding the qualification of the criminal offense against the former head of the police station of Himara, Arjan Tase. The latter has been in prison since August 2022, while the case against him is in the final stage by prosecutor Eranda Felaj. But a document received by the National Coastal Agency at the prosecutor's office in Vlora, has shown that exactly in the place where the incident took place, there was a water corridor for motor vehicles to navigate. This answer has brought anomalies in the further investigation of this case, since the Vlora prosecutor's office is unsure of the correct qualification of the criminal charge against the former head of the Sarandë police station, Arjan Tase. The response of the National Coastal Agency, shows that Arjan Tase has been moving in a water corridor created right on the beach of Potami, writes "Ora Neës". This situation has brought confusion among the investigation team, whether the charge of "Murder by negligence" or the charge of "Murder committed in the form of indirect intent" should be brought against Tase. The investigations into the death of the child Jonada Avdia are already in the final phase and it is expected that the prosecutor's office of Vlora will communicate one of the above two charges against Arjan Tase. The death of the little girl on the beach of Potami shocked public opinion at the height of the tourist season. Then this event, in September 2022, became one of the reasons for the dismissal of the General Director of the State Police, Gladis Nano. Police officer Arjan Tase has admitted the crime, apologizing to his colleagues in Vlora. The serious event was recorded at noon on August 2 at Potami beach in Himare. The minor was bathing in the sea with her father, when she was hit by the engine part of the boat driven by Arjan Tase. The little girl died on the spot. The Avdia family, originally from Tropoja, lived with her family in England, but had returned to the Motherland for the summer holidays. After the incident, the entire management chain of the Border Police of Vlora was dismissed, as well as the responsible inspectors.
