Pregnant mother, Diana Bahçja, who was arrested 8 days after giving birth to her baby, appeared before the black squads. After the request of her lawyers, the court decided to release her from the cell.

"I told the police that I am breastfeeding the baby. I haven't met my first child in 5 years,"  she said in front of the black toga.

Diana Bahçja was arrested by Shkodra police on March 7. The Tirana court imposed a fine in 2020 of 250,000 new alleks and converted this decision after three years into a prison sentence of 1 month and 20 days.

According to the lawyers, she was neither aware of the fine nor of the conversion of the fine to imprisonment by the Court of Tirana.

Diana Bahçja's lawyers asked for the postponement of the execution of the decision on her sentence until the child turns 1 year old, as he urgently needs the presence of his mother to feed and take care of him.

The scandal between Shkodra and Tirana started 5 years ago when Diana Bahçja divorced her ex-husband and they have a child from this marriage.

The ex-husband accused the mother of his child of abandonment and as a result the court gave him the right by sentencing the woman after the court hearing.

But her husband Naim Bahçja claimed that Diana Bahçja was forced to leave because her ex-husband used to abuse her and did not allow her to meet the girl.
