He passed away at the age of 80, tributes are being paid to the painter Ali Osek

From his temple of inspiration, where he spent most of his life, at the University of Arts, color painter Ali Oseku has been conveyed to his last residence. Family members, friends and relatives said goodbye to the 80-year-old artist who could not win the battle with the serious illness.

The colors were what led the rebel painter to suffer in Spaçi prison during the communist regime. Daughter Ajsel Oseku remembers her father, his hostages and above all the vicissitudes of her past life between the two systems.

"There were many moments, but I will keep a special moment, since my mother died a year ago, she always wanted us to sleep together. it was the colors that penalized him because he had very strong colors and the way he transgressed throughout his period" , said Osek's daughter.

Although for friends the painter's departure is a loss for Albanian art, Ali Oseku will remain an irreplaceable master of colors and shapes and of a work full of passion and extraordinary talent.

"Ali was a very accomplished character, one of the icons of Albanian art whose contribution everyone recognizes," said the painter Petraq Papa.

"He was an extraordinary man with his past and everything he has received and given in this society", said Ilir Butka, filmmaker.

Good words after death are not a common cliché for Ali Osek, as his colleagues appreciate him not only for the artist but also for the man he was.

"Ali only taught us beautiful things, he taught us what love is for man, art, family ", said Najada Hamza, painter.

" I was very impressed that, even in the most difficult moments, he never betrayed himself or his society ," said the painter Gazment Leka.

The painter from Gjakova Ali Oseku passed away on Tuesday evening in his apartment in Tirana, leaving art lovers a precious treasure of works of art, under his authorship.
