The Assembly of Albania approved in yesterday's plenary session with 102 votes the amendments to the Road Code, in particular regarding the renewal of licenses, for drivers of all categories of vehicles.

One of the most important changes will be to extend the validity of AM, A1, A2, A, B1, B and BE patents up to 15 years.

Until now, term limits have been after turning 50 years old, but with the new changes, these limits start after the age of 70. After this age, confirmation is made after submitting the medical certificate.

Another change that was approved is the extension to 70 years of age, from 65 that is, of the right to a professional driving license.

It is also emphasized that citizens whose Albanian driving license has been canceled due to the effect of conversion abroad, can regain the Albanian driving license without testing, even if the foreign driving license has expired, after they surrender the latter and give it up voluntarily from her.
