Diana Bahçja, the pregnant woman who was arrested leaving the 8-day-old baby at home, has already been released from prison. In an exclusive interview for "Review" in Euronews Albania, the 25-year-old said that she feels sad and did not expect such an event to happen.

"The police came to the house. He asked me to go, to make a statement, I was not told about the arrest. I was not aware that there was a decision from the court. After I went to the police station, I was notified after 3 hours," said the young woman.

The court of first instance in Tirana imposed a fine in 2020 of 2 million and 500 thousand old lek, converting it to 50 days in prison. The reason for the fine is the abandonment of the child Diana has from her first marriage.
