The story of the De Santis family can now be summed up in two words: work and home. A month after the tragedy that struck Torremaggiore, everyone is trying to get back to normal, but what happened at midnight on May 6 and 7 will not be easily forgotten.

It is about the case where Taulant Malaj killed his daughter Jessica and the Italian Massimo De Santis, as he suspected that he was the person with whom his wife, Tefta Malaj, was cheating on him. The latter escaped being stabbed. In the area where the event happened, citizens say that it was a great tragedy, and that no one expected it.

"It was a great tragedy. No one expected it. Everything seemed normal" - they say.

 The brother of Massimo De Santis, the 51-year-old owner who was killed by the hand of the Albanian, spoke to the Israeli media . "My brother did not deserve to die like this. I would rather have died in a road accident or in other circumstances, but he didn't deserve a death like this," says his brother Gianluca, whose name appears on the sale sign of the apartment in via Togliatti where he lives still his mother nearly eighty years old. 

"My mother has never left the house alone since the day of the tragedy. I have to pick her up on the third floor and she comes out of the elevator staring straight ahead, as if to remove the image of the white sheet covering Massimo's bloodied body lying on the ground," says Gianluca again .

Taulant Malaj, the 45-year-old Albanian who killed his 16-year-old daughter, Xhesika Malaj, as well as a 51-year-old man with whom he suspected that his wife had an extramarital affair, confessed earlier that there had been arguments in the family, always for the alleged treason and had asked his wife for a divorce.
