A 36-year-old Albanian, who was known by three different names to the Greek authorities and managed to escape from the police after an episodic pursuit, has been arrested. The 36-year-old was caught by chance during a check by the DI.AS team. in Thessaloniki.
According to protothema.gr, the suspect tried to escape again this time, but the policemen of the DI.AS team. they managed to neutralize him and arrest him behind a bush where he tried to hide after being chased. The Albanian appeared before the Teranêtari Criminal Court of Thessaloniki and was sentenced to 18 months in prison, for the case in which he was arrested, on charges of resistance and disobedience.
The court decided that his sentence does not have deterrent force since the accused has disturbed justice several times and thus was sent to prison.
