A 19-year-old man was arrested by Saranda police after trying to cross the border with 4 illegal immigrants. The young man Kajtaz Baho, a resident of Saranda, has been placed in handcuffs. The 19-year-old was traveling in a car with 4 illegal immigrants inside.

In return for payment, the young man had promised the immigrants passage to EU countries.

Uninterrupted police work, with the aim of preventing and cracking down on providing assistance against profit to foreign nationals for illegal border crossing. Caught in the act, transporting 4 immigrants against payment, with a vehicle, with the aim of illegally crossing the border, the 19-year-old was put in handcuffs.

The Border Police Services in Sarandë, in cooperation with the services of FRONTEX and the services of the Sarandë Police Station, following the work to combat the criminal activity of providing assistance to foreign citizens, against profit, for illegal border crossing, have found another case of this activity.

As a result, a UN citizen, 19 years old, resident in Saranda, was arrested in the act for the criminal offense of "Aiding illegal border crossing".

This citizen was caught red-handed, on the "Çukë-Dritas" road axis, transporting 4 immigrants in a vehicle, against the benefit, with the aim of illegally crossing the border.  

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance in Saranda, for further action.
