Tensions in Kosovo, Haradinaj issues a powerful appeal: It is unacceptable that Serbs should not fall prey to Vucic's interests

Tensions in Kosovo, Haradinaj issues a powerful appeal: It is unacceptable that

"Tensions in the north are unacceptable", writes Haradinaj in a post on Facebook.

Among other things, he added that acts of violence and attacks on policemen are punishable. Among other things, he called on the Serbs not to fall prey to Vucic's interests.

Ramush Haradinaj's full post:

The tensions in the north are unacceptable! Assaulting and injuring police officers is a serious act of violence and is punishable as such. The local Serbs should give up violence and not fall prey to the political interests of Aleksandar Vu?i?, whose power is still shaking.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, for his part, should be maximally careful and not undertake uncoordinated actions with international partners.

The political impasse with the local Kosovo Serbs in that part can only be resolved through open dialogue with them. Kosovo does not have the luxury of acting alone and uncoordinated with international friends in overcoming the situation created in the north.

I appeal to the Serbian citizens and to the institutions of Kosovo to do their best to calm the situation.
