The former chief prosecutor of Tirana, Elisabeta Imeraj, says that the prosecutors have the will to work, but that alone is not enough.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, Imeraj said that from the legislative side, a prosecutor is independent to investigate or make decisions.

"I think that, at least, in the ranks of prosecutors and judges, I think they have the will to work. Will is not the only element, normally there are a number of elements and factors that come together.

If we take it to the legislative level, it is free, it is independent in terms of the way of decision-making and the exercise of investigative activity", she emphasized.
