The former deputy, Vasil Sterjovski, in an interview given by the minority Municipality of Pusteç, spoke about the population census that is expected to start this Monday.

He also spoke about the issue of Bulgarian passports, all of which have already become a business in Albania.

Sterjovski said that the prices for obtaining a Bulgarian passport range from 5 to 25 thousand euros.

"I have said it publicly. Bulgarian passport is a very profitable business in Albania, it is more profitable than growing marijuana in Albania. For a Bulgarian passport, the Macedonian community can pay 5 thousand euros, while for Albanians it can go up to 25 thousand euros.

In Albania, there are thousands of Albanian citizens who have applied for a Bulgarian passport, most of them are of Albanian origin who have obtained this Bulgarian passport against payment, in order to use the privileges of the European Union. In recent years, this trend is also in the Macedonian community, but these lek are a lot, because not every family has 5 thousand euros", said Sterjovski.
