Democratic deputy, Ferdinand Xhaferaj commented on the crisis within the DP, as well as the reports between Sali Berisha and Lulzim Basha. Xhaferaj demanded a step back from Berisha, stressing that it is not the end of the world, while adding that Basha is in debt with DP and therefore he must continue his contribution as a deputy.

"There is a stagnation because what we have seen and what we see so far is that we had a return of Mr. Berisha who organized himself at the head of Reestablishment, but did not reorganize the Albanian opposition to overthrow the government. Now there is talk of a return of Basha when we have had him for 8 years and it didn't work out and why is this return needed and who does it serve. So these are systems of certain individuals. Basha was not born to be only party leader, it is a gift that Berisha gave him. It is among the least that came in 2005 without any contribution simply because of a personal or family love of Mr. Berisha. Now he should continue to contribute that he owes a lot to the DP. And the return of Sali Berisha is not a concern today, let alone Lulzim Basha. Why? If Berisha succeeded in overthrowing the government, we would apologize, but he did not succeed.

Among other things, Xhaferaj also asked Sali Berisha to take a step back, considering him a necessity for the opposition, but no longer its leader.

"He failed in two electoral tests, then he should reflect, it is not the end of the world to be a step behind for the common good. It is necessary for the opposition, but not at its head. Likewise, Basha, but not at the top because he has not been able to succeed at the top. It is no longer a matter of impressions. Berisha has values, but the issue is no longer about personal preferences. We must win the elections. This is what brings us together as a political group," he said.
