Lefter Alla, the mayor of Bulqiza, was dismissed from office by Prime Minister Edi Rama, for serious violations, after being arrested by SPAK for abusing public tenders, favoring the companies of his relatives. The decision was taken yesterday by the Council of Ministers, while the former socialist mayor has the right to appeal his dismissal within 15 days to the Constitutional Court. But, if Alla appeals, the decision of the Council of Ministers is suspended, until the Constitutional Court makes a decision. "Dismissal from the duties of the mayor of Bulqiza, Mr. Lefter Alla. In support of articles 100 and 115, point 1, of the Constitution, and letter "a", of article 62, of law no. 139/2015, "On local self-government", amended, with the proposal of the Minister of the Interior, the Council of Ministers. DECIDED: Dismissal, due to the serious violations of the mayor of Bulqiza, Mr. Lefter Alla. This decision enters into force immediately and is published in the "Official Gazette", it is stated in the government's decision, signed yesterday by Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.

Meanwhile, we remember that the mayor of the Socialist Party in Bulqiza, Lefter Alla, and 12 other people, 7 of them municipal officials, were arrested by the police a few days ago for abusing a tender worth about 3 million euros. The deputy mayor of the Municipality, Enkeleda Lleshi, has also been taken into custody. Their arrest was made after they are accused of favoring the relative of Lefter Alla, Aqif Konesha, who carried out the works of the new water supply. On March 18, GJKKO set the security measure of 'prison arrest' for the mayor of Bulqiza, and the other arrested officials. During his testimony, Alla considered the accusations as political attacks against him. The charges against Mayor Alla and Vice Mayor Lleshi for the criminal offenses "Violation of the equality of participants in public tenders or auctions" and "Abuse of office".
