The salary for State Police employees will increase by 7%, the Director of Prisons has stated. Thus increasing by 13 thousand and 700 lek from which 3560 prison police officers will benefit. Meanwhile, the Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja, has stated that the salaries of Prison Police are equal to the salaries of the State Police. "The salary of prison police officers is equal to the salaries of the State Police", he declared. Meanwhile, regarding the extension of the mandate of Arben Kraja at the head of SPAK, the Minister of Justice Ulsi Manja said that only the Parliament of Albania has it in hand. "The reform in justice is a reform conceived entirely in the Parliament of Albania. The Minister of Justice today, in relation to justice issues, has the functions of completely monitoring the system", he said. From Fieri, Manja said that in our country, 4 prison institutions are expected to be closed, while the reason for this decision is the unsuitable conditions of these institutions for the convicts. Meanwhile, the Minister of Justice also spoke about the extradition agreement with Dubai, a dozens of important exponents of crime from Albania are suspected to be hiding in this country. "I will continue to seek to have extradition and cooperation agreements in the field of legal-criminal assistance with all those countries where, based on the analysis of all security agencies, but also there are Albanian citizens in the prosecutor's office who are in conflict with the law", Manja underlined.
