The victim's friend, Oskar Velasko, reportedly told the police that his roommate had problems in the family.

"He had problems with his wife, work of honor, he had been arguing for a long time," the victim's friend, Oskar Velasko, is said to have said.

Cervilla had been working together with another Spanish national, Oscar Velasco, for a month. Specifically, it was learned that the two Spanish citizens had arrived in Albania on February 13.
