A serious incident was recorded today in Prrenjas, where three people were injured by the explosion of a grenade while they were working the land.

Olsi Elezi, 45 years old, Yllka Bishtogu, 61 years old, and Viturie Bishtogu, 58 years old, were injured by this incident. Media sources inform that the persons in question received wounds in the head, leg and abdomen.

The two women are in a more serious condition and have gone to the Trauma hospital for more specialized treatment.

The circumstances of how an unexploded grenade was located on an agricultural land are still unclear, while investigations continue to unravel the incident.

In the village of Kakavec, Prrenjas municipality, around 12:00, the citizen EO and the citizens YB and DB, while working the land with their waists, accidentally exploded an old grenade, and as a result, these citizens were injured in the lower limbs, they were transported immediately to the hospital and are out of danger for life.

At the time of the grenade explosion, the 2 brothers, the husbands of the above citizens, were also working, and they did not suffer any injuries.

The investigative team continues to work at the scene to fully clarify the circumstances of this case.
