Proposals from the EP, Vucic's strong statement: Serbia is not interested in recognizing Kosovo

The President of Serbia, Aleksandër Vucic , has stated that Serbia is not interested in recognizing Kosovo's independence.

Vucic announced that the recommendations of the European Parliament for Serbia also required mutual recognition with Kosovo, but this, according to him, was kept hidden from the public.

The Serbian head of state also spoke about the sanctions against Russia. He added that he is able to make his own decisions and knows what the country needs, knowing Serbia's dependence on Russian gas.

"It is not only about sanctions. I know that there is a part of the public that would like to discipline the president and the government and explain to us that we need to urgently impose sanctions because it is in the best interest of our country. While everything else is a bad policy for Serbia that will leave us without a path to the EU. But they skipped the part that said we should recognize Kosovo as independent, so I'm looking for all those people who want to talk to us about someone's good intentions. why are they hiding this. A part of the political and media opinion is hiding this from the public because otherwise it would be clear what such MEPs really wanted from Serbia and the attitude of Serbia and its state leadership would be better understood. That's why it should be hidden," said Vucic.

We recall that yesterday the European Parliament approved the resolution for EU integration and said that as far as Serbia is concerned, its process must be conditioned so that it follows the same policies as the Union, that is, imposing sanctions on Russia.
