A 50-year-old man was wounded by gunfire on Friday evening in Shijak.

The event happened at 22:10 in the "Populore" neighborhood. The injured, a citizen with the initials A. Ç., was taken to the hospital and is under the care of doctors.

While the suspected author of the event, the 38-year-old man with the initials EH, has been declared wanted by the police.

The conflict between them is reported to have happened for weak motives.

He wounded a 50-year-old man with a firearm, the police identified the perpetrator and are continuing the intensive work to catch him.

Checkpoints have been set up and the area has been cordoned off to make it possible to locate the suspected perpetrator.

Today, on 01.06.2023, around 22:10, in Shijak, in the neighborhood "Populore", citizen EH, 38 years old, as a result of a conflict for weak motives, allegedly injured citizen A with a pistol firearm. Ç., 50 years old, resident of Shijak, who is under the care of doctors.

Police services immediately went to the scene and chased the 38-year-old man, with the aim of arresting him.

The investigative team is at the scene and is working to fully clarify and elucidate the circumstances of the incident.
