Laert Haxhiu, who was arrested in Ioannina a few days ago, and was left in prison under the measure of 'prison arrest' for 40 days, will be sent to the high security prison in Koridhallos.
According to his lawyer, writes the Greek media, Haxhiu does not accept the charges for the murder in Lushnje in 2017 that left two dead and two injured and does not want to be extradited to the Albanian authorities, but wants to stay in Greece.
According to information, the Albanian authorities are expected to immediately request his extradition to the neighboring country.
The case will go to the competent Appeals Council to decide for or against his extradition and then to the Supreme Court.
