Morina, in his statement before the court, has shown that he received the money from a businessman, as he expressed his willingness to cooperate with the prosecution. "The money does not come from criminal activity.

I got them 20 minutes before I was arrested by a businessman. I borrowed the money for personal reasons. I am ready to cooperate with the prosecution", Morina is said to have said.

The 39-year-old has been a part of police structures for many years. His career started in the structure of the Police Oversight Agency, the former US. In 2012, Morina became an officer at police station number 3 in Tirana.
