SPAK operation/Measures for Mata and Brecan, the well-known journalist discloses the strong accusations against the members of the criminal group

Yesterday evening in the late hours SPAK issued 11 arrest warrants, in the focus of investigations against a structured criminal group, where four of them have been executed so far.

Charges have been brought against the 11 suspects for money laundering, organized criminal group, drug trafficking, providing conditions to commit murder, abuse of office and supporting the perpetrator of the crime.

Journalist Eni Ferhati informs that the issuance of arrest warrants came after the analysis of messages from the encrypted application "SKY ECC".

"The next operation of the Special Prosecutor's Office comes in the context of the clarification of the transcripts received by the French authorities on the dismantling of the encrypted Sky Ecc network.

In the framework of these investigations, one of these factions led to the disintegration of this suspected criminal group, whose composition included former senior police officials, current officers and members of organized crime.

"Investigations for the criminal group are starting from drug trafficking, supporting the perpetrator of the crime, providing the conditions to commit murder, money laundering and other charges such as abuse of office," said Ferati.

As part of the operation, the former deputy director of the Tirana Police, Erzen Breçani, and his son Eralbi Breçani, who are accused of supporting the perpetrator of the crime and money laundering, were arrested.

Also, the Chief of Crimes at Police Station number 6, Dedan Gjoni, was arrested. Several charges have been brought against the crime boss for serious criminal offenses, one of which is that of providing the conditions to commit murder. One of the police officers who was accompanied is Jonida Babameto, an officer of the Border and Immigration Directorate.

The businessman Ervin Mata, a well-known name in justice, is also wanted in this operation, which seems to be the second phase of the "Metamorfoza" operation, after the collision he had with Ervis Martinaj.
