Hysen Meta declared in court that he did not kill his father, Pëllumb Meta. He said that his father was shot by his sister, Hygerta Meta.

"I did not commit the murder. The younger sister shot the father. There were conflicts between the sister and the father. I didn't have a very good relationship with my father. I was confused, so I confessed to the crime," he said in the courtroom.

The three children, Hysen, Amarildo and Hygerta Meta, appeared before the court in Durrës, to familiarize themselves with the security measures, related to the murder of their father, Pëllumb Meta.

The serious event took place on February 10 in Shënavlash, but was discovered a few days later, after the eldest son of the Meta family reported losing contact with the head of the family.

The 50-year-old was killed by his son who was then helped by his brother, sister and mother to bury the body in the shed of the apartment and then to disappear the traces.

Hysen Meta, after being confronted with the evidence, admitted the murder. Fingerprints were found on the crime weapon.

The 25-year-old has stated that there was a conflict between them and from the many arguments he took the gun and shot four bullets at his father.
