"The negotiation in Ohrid is not the last meeting"/ Analyst Nazarko

For the analyst Mentor Nazarko, the history of Kosovo-Serbia negotiations has shown that if mechanisms for implementation are missing, they fail. While the next Kurti-Vucic meeting is expected in Ohrid, Nazarko said that Russia is trying to sabotage this agreement because, according to him, it wants an unstable Balkans.

"The history of Kosovo-Serbia negotiations has shown that if mechanisms for implementation are missing, they fail. For this, the EU has provided a supervision mechanism. It must be understood that the normalization of relations is a process that starts with this agreement, but it is not a final agreement. It is likely that it will not pass in the respective parliaments.

It is a trick, an imposed solution to avoid the contradictions coming from the political class in Serbia and Kosovo, but in the meantime, the West, and here I mean the EU+USA, think of engaging the parties for the transition to the parliament, only when mutual recognition is foreseen.

So, it is a process that starts with this agreement, it is an agreement that claims to regulate a number of aspects related to two states, but it is foreseen to have special agreements that resolve certain issues. This is the reason why Russia itself is suspicious, trying to sabotage this agreement because it wants an unstable Balkans." said Nazarko.
