Journalist Klodiana Lala has provided the complete file on the case of former mayor Vangjush Dako.

Lala said that the former mayor Dako is under investigation for two different issues, for the tender for filling the beach of Currilove with waste, as well as for the construction of the palace without a permit in the center of Durrës.

"Fiqiri Faruku is the businessman who did the construction. They are suspected of the criminal offense of abuse of office and falsification of documents. For Dako, the investigation started months ago after a report was made about a building that was severely damaged and it turned out that the company with administrator citizen Fiqiri Faruku did this construction, but the complainants state that their building was damaged by the earthquake, and it was uninhabitable and this established by the experts that the project-builder did not build it in accordance with the technical conditions. In 2014, everything was finished, but it turns out that the employees of the Municipality of Durrës, including Vangjush Dakon, legalized the building that was built with at least four floors without permission. It is also noted in the file that Dako is being investigated for two different cases.

Also, journalist Lala said that there are doubts that there was a leak of information, and that Vangjush Dako was kept under investigation.

"If the palace had collapsed due to the earthquake, there could have been a loss of human life. The residents initially claimed the criminal offense of attempted murder. But criminal proceedings were registered for abuse of office. There were discussions that SPAK could act. According to information, the Special Prosecutor's Office addressed the court with a request for the appointment of security measures. There was a leak of information, but also a sighting of Vangjush Dako. According to the information, Dako has not left Durrës and has stayed near the electoral headquarters all the time. From the moment the Prosecutor's Office made a request for his arrest, he was under surveillance by the police.
