Doctor Erjon Dasho said in a television interview that 25% of Albanian doctors are in Germany.
"There is a massive departure of doctors and there is a lack of replacement, that is, doctors if there was a better report before, but if only in the last 10 years, more than 1 thousand doctors have left for Germany. Albania has a total of 4 thousand registered doctors. Of these 4,000, 1,000 fled to Germany, 3,000 remained," Dasho said.
According to him, the situation is alarming for those familiar with the health system, as doctors are difficult to replace.
