Foreign media raise the alarm: Dritan Rexhepi and the new movement of the Albanian mafia that is shaking Ecuador

"La Hora" has dedicated an article to drug trafficking, murders and other criminal events in the country (Ecuador), where Albanians are involved.

Albanian criminal gangs have also become an "apple" of trouble for Ecuadorian politics, where the opposition attacks the government for the war on drugs and the weak justice that brings gangs to flourish.

In this article, the name of Dritan Rexhepi is mentioned, who is described as the "king" of the Albanian mafia in Ecuador. Rexhepi was arrested in 2014 with 279 kg of drugs and at that time was sentenced to 13 years in prison.
