The Ohrid Agreement, the UN reacts: Belgrade and Pristina to fulfill the obligations assumed

The United Nations Organization (UN), in which Kosovo wants to become a member, has welcomed the latest developments in Ohrid between Kosovo and Serbia.

Secretary Antonio Guterres, welcoming the EU's statement on the agreement reached in Ohrid, expects the parties to fulfill their obligations.

"The Secretary General of the UN, Antonio Guterres, welcomes the latest statement from the European Union on the agreement between the parties on the implementation of the Agreement that leads to the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina", announced the spokesperson of the Secretary General of the UN of Farhan Haq.

He said that it is important that now the parties work quickly and in good faith to realize all the obligations defined in the Agreement, for the benefit of all.

"The United Nations remains committed to supporting the implementation of the agreements that emerge from the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue facilitated by the EU," reads further the reaction of the Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) quoted by the spokesperson Farhan Haq .

The United Nations (UN) was founded after the Second World War with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the countries of the world, economic development and maintaining peace in the world.

Kosovo's membership in the UN has been prevented by Russia due to the right of veto in the Security Council.
