Macabre crime in Korçë/ The prosecution closes the investigation into the murder of Martin Çeço, 4 people under charges

An intimate story started between 19-year-old Tina Pajollari and Martin Çeço, caused the suffocation of 26-year-old Çeço with alfalfa rope and then thrown into the reservoir of the village of Kolanec. Martin Çeço harassed him over the phone, asking him to create a romantic relationship with Martina Pajollari, a resident of the village of Marjan, whom Valter Mollaj had a girlfriend. The motive for this crime, which occurred on June 21, 2022, emerged after the 14-month investigation conducted by the Korça prosecutor's office, which has already closed the file, indicting 4 people for this serious crime.

Tina Pajollari, Valter Mollaj, the person who had a love affair with Tina, the son of Valter's uncle, Edlir Mollaj, and the shepherd of Valter's cows, Bleti Angjo, have been arrested and put under the charge of "Premeditated murder" committed in cooperation. According to the investigations carried out, the strangulation of Martin Çeço with a rope was done by Valter Mollaj in cooperation with his two friends, who committed this crime out of jealousy.

"... Valteri, Edliri and Bleti go to the village of Kolanec with his off-road car and pick up Martini. They had put him in the car, and he had strangled him with a rope, coming out from the back and pulling the rope around his neck until he fell down and then they had thrown him into the water of the tank...", the investigation file says. Part of this murder was the daughter Tina Pajollari, who, according to the prosecution, was present when the three men drowned and then threw the body of Martin Çeço into the reservoir.

Pajollari was the person who took the victim out of the house and then he was caught by the three people, who strangled him with alfalfa rope. To hide the crime and present the event as a suicide, the 4 persons threw the victim's body into the depth of the water of the reservoir. While the two slippers he was wearing were scattered around the water's edge. One of these slippers was found by the family, who thought that their son had committed suicide by drowning in the lake.

But after removing the body from the police, forensic doctors found that Martin Çeço had a black line around his neck, concluding that he was strangled with a rope before being thrown into the water. This detail made the police and the prosecutor's office of Korça to start the murder investigation by discovering and arresting the 4 defendants Tina Pajollari, Valter Mollaj, Edlir Mollaj and Bleti Angjo.
