A serious event happened at the weekend in Permet, where 82-year-old Leonidha Peçi killed his 80-year-old wife Afrovit with a hard object (wooden stick).

In the show "With an open heart" of the journalist Evis Ahmeti on News24, some testimonies came today about the serious event that shocked the public opinion, moreover in Përmet, one of the areas in the country with the lowest criminality.

The grandson of the Peçi couple, the son of the girl who passed away a few years ago, told journalist Anila Ahmataj that he often went to his grandparents, but they had no problems. He said that his aunts had asked both of them to go to Greece to live with them, but they had not accepted.

He claimed that a few years ago the grandmother had denounced the grandfather for violence.

"There was a complaint from the deceased a few years ago. They lost two children. I don't know if they had mental health issues. We understood that grandfather was not well, we made him whole. He didn't drink. My uncle passed away many years ago, and my mother 4 years ago.
I came very often, I asked them how you were, they said good. They didn't tell me.
My mother's relationship with my grandparents was very close. Economically, they were fine, they had no problems.
My aunts had asked them to go to Greece to live with them and near them, but they had not accepted. We didn't expect what happened," said the grandson of the elderly.
